These sunshades are a product conceived for Manasc Isaac Architects as an addition for our sustainable buildings.
The sunshades protrude horizontally from the building, shading the window below from direct sunlight. Sunshades also enhance human comfort from inside the building, by allowing comfortable amounts of indirect lighting to enter from outside, while also allowing for a unobstructed view to the outside - without glare or hot spots. This creates a better working environment.
These sunshades not only perform a sustainable job, they are also a sustainable product, easily disassembled and completely recyclable. Each component was carefully designed to fit together so as to lessen the total amount of pieces the system required as a whole. The effect that the sunshades can have on a building can be dramatic, both in terms of appearance and in terms of energy saved. The mechanical cooling and heating requirements of a building can be greatly reduced by the implementation of sunshades.
