   LEEDTM Certified

Alberta Urban Municipalities Association (AUMA) was in need of adding space to its existing offices on Saskatchewan Drive in anticipation of an expanded staff. It also needed improved meeting facilities to accommodate regular board meetings.

The new design removed a bungalow on the neighboring lot and extended the existing building to the west. The building was altered to house a large boardroom, and the addition contained the new reception area that receives visitors from the new front door on Saskatchewan Drive and the car park to the south.

In keeping with the Area Redevelopment Plan, the 2-storey addition retained the quality of a residence by employing elements such as balconies, bay windows, and dormer roofs. The Client's image was that of an “Embassy” in a residential neighborhood.

AUMA was the first building to archive LEEDTM Certification.
