Building Design
Designed as a facility that enhances the social and intellectual capital of Athabasca University, the new Academic Research Centre is designed to integrated into the site and the existing building, while celebrating contemporary, sustainable architecture.
Designed as a LEED-Gold Building, this new 60,000 sq. ft. building will house all of Athabasca University's Academic Centres, the new Collections Centre, and a number of meeting and collaborative spaces for the academy. Increasing research and expertise in the area of e-learning and distance learning are placing Athabasca University at the forefront of the next generation of post-secondary facilities.
