Manasc Isaac is completing the renovations for the relocation of the School of Native Studies into Pembina Hall at the University of Alberta.
Our renovation work must minimize the amount of changes to the building, not impact the exterior of this historic building, and create a flavour appropriate to Native Studies. In addition, we are to achieve an upgrade to the indoor environmental quality in terms of adequate heating and cooling, upgrades to meet present building codes, and utilize natural ventilation wherever possible.
We will also incorporate environmentally-sensitive strategies such as minimization of energy consumption, waste reduction and management, and choosing materials with the least environmental impact.
