 LEED Silver Rating
This new office building will accommodate Waterworks and Wastewater staff at the Manchester Centre in Southeast Calgary. Approximately 400 administrative staff will be contained on three floors of open office space overlooking a central atrium. For increased efficiency the division’s 350 field operations workers will be brought together with the administrative departments.
In keeping with the City of Calgary’s new Sustainable Buildings Policy, in which all new facilities must follow environmental guidelines, this building will be designed to a LEEDTM Silver Rating (minimum), while maximizing energy efficiency and providing a healthy, dynamic working environment for City staff. The unique urban design of this building will make this industrial site a livable part of the city.
